Mrs. Nina Opal Stonebraker, 76, died suddenly at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov 23, 1969 at her home near Elmdale. She was born Sept 13, 1893 near Elmdale, a daughter of James and Martha Stout Quick. She married Clay C. Stonebraker on Feb 15, 1917. She was a life member of Elmdale United Methodist Church, a charter member of Elmdale WSCS and was educated in Elmdale schools. After her marriage, Mrs. Stonebraker and her husband lived east of Attica for 27 years. At that time, Mrs. Stonebraker and her family were very active in organizing the Bethel Community Church before returning to Elmdale. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Hercell of Elmdale and Homer of near Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Gentry of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ethel Kennedy of Waynetown, and 4 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Funeral services Tuesday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Jean McCan officiating, assisted by Rev. G. Tremaine. Burial in Oakland Cemetery
